“치맥 어때? 치맥. 나 우울할 땐 무조건 치맥? 식자(食者)의 입 : 드라마 「별에서 온 그대」에 나타난 먹기와 키스하기
이 논문은 드라마 ‘별에서 온 그대’에 나타난 입의 두 행위, 먹기와 키스라는 구강 행위의 의미를 살펴보는데 있다. 먹기와 키스는 입이라는 신체 기관을 공유하는 구강 행위이다. 두 구강 행위는 이 드라마 속에서 구분되지만 분리되지 않으며, 연속적인 의미작용을 만들어낸다. 입이라는 기관은 두 남녀 주인공의 존재론적 성격을 특징짓는 상징적인 장소이다. 천송이의 열린 입과 도민준의 닫힌 입은 상징적인 차원에서 서로 대립하 고 상보적인 의미작용을 한다. 음식은 여기서 ‘사이 존재’로서, 함께 먹기 를 통해 대립하는 두 인물을 매개하는 역할을 수행한다. 키스는 함께 먹 기와 더불어, 또 다른 방식으로 남주인공의 ‘닫힌’ 입을 ‘여는’ 과정이기도 하다. ‘타액’이라는 장치는 이때 금기의 복선으로 작동된다. 이 드라마에 서 ‘타액’이란 설정은 두 존재가 서로 다가가면 다가갈수록 한쪽의 파괴와 소멸로 향하는 장치로 작동되며 희생의 가치를 만들어 낸다. 두 주인공은 현실의 결핍과 욕망이 투영된 식자(食者 eater)로서 우리 삶의 모습을 충 실히 담고 있다. 이 논문은 두 주인공이 표상하는 캐릭터의 특성을 중심 으로, 함께 먹기에서 키스로 이어지는 이들의 입의 행위가 드러내는 양상 을 살펴보고 그 의미를 살펴본다.
“How about Chimaec? Chimaec. I always have Chimaec when I’m depressed” The Mouth of Eater : Eating and Kissing in The Drama You Who Came from the Stars
This study aims to identify the implications of eating and kissing in the drama You Who Came from the Stars. Eating and kissing are oral activities that are performed using a common body part: the mouth. The two oral activities are differentiated but not separated in the drama; they make a continuous meaningful reaction. The mouth symbolizes the existential characteristics of the two male and female characters. The open mouth of Cheon Song-yi and the closed mouth of Do Min-joon have conflicting but complementary symbolic meanings. Food plays the mediating role between the two contrasting characters in their act of eating together. Kissing, as well as eating together, ‘opens’ the ‘closed’ mouth of the male character in another way. Saliva foreshadows taboo. In the drama, saliva renders the destruction of one side as the two characters become closer to one another. The two characters faithfully convey our lives as eaters with lack and desire in reality. This study identifies how the oral activities of the two characters connect from eating together to kissing and how the meaning of these activities is centered on the characteristics conveyed by the two characters.
