중국 TV선협로맨스판타지와 ‘국풍’ 브랜드 내셔널리즘 : <삼생삼세십리도화>류의 작품들을 중심으로
21세기 들어 각국 정부는 자국의 소프트파워를 제고하고 글로벌 문화 산업 경쟁력을 올리기 위한 브랜드 내셔널리즘에 힘을 쏟고 있다. ‘국풍 國風 브랜드 내셔널리즘’은 중국전통역사와 문화, 그리고 사회주의를 연결 하는 중국특색사회주의를 내세우며 ‘문화자신’ 정책을 펼치고 있는 시진핑 정부의 문화정책을 문화산업적으로 실현시키는 문화전략으로 볼 수 있다. 대중미디어들은 국가 문화정책과 문화산업의 연결고리로서 브랜드 내셔널 리즘의 핵심적 역할을 수행한다. 중국 TV 선협로맨스판타지(이하 선협로 판)는 원서사인 웹소설의 ‘가상적 중국’의 시뮬라크르를 영상으로 재현함 과 동시에 이데올로기적 요소를 포함한 시청각 콘텐츠를 확장, 첨가하여 게임, 애니메이션, 영화 등 타 매체에 공유하여 패스티시 장르를 형성하 고 있다. 본고에서는 중국 선협로판물의 트랜스미디어화에 관한 내적 콘 텐츠 분석에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 중국 고유의 ‘국풍’ 이데올로기적 관점 에서 미디어문화산업에 대한 접근을 시도했다. 유, 불, 선 등을 포함한 삼 계 三界 세계관을 배경으로 신선들의 로맨스를 펼치는 선협로판물은 공동 체의 안녕을 위해 개인의 희생을 내세우는 유교적 가치관의 중국 특색사 회주의 이데올로기를 포함하고 있다. 특히 TV매체는 국풍 이데올로기가 첨가된 시청각 콘텐츠를 통해 팬덤을 형성하여 ‘국풍 브랜드 내셔널리즘’ 이 추구하는 문화산업적 측면에서 가장 큰 영향력을 미친다.
Chinese TV Xianxia Romance Fantasy and ‘Guofeng’ Brand Nationalism : Focused on -type Works
Some governments are promoting brand nationalism to enhance the soft power of the state and the global competitiveness of its cultural industry in the 21st century. The ‘Guofeng’ Brand Nationalism is a strategy of the Xi Jinping regime to realize the cultural policy of ‘Cultural Confidence’ and put forward ‘Socialism with Chinese Characteristics’ which combines Chinese traditional history, culture and socialism. Mass media plays a key role in the Brand Nationalism by linking the state policy and the cultural industry. Chinese TV Xianxia Romance Fantasy works project the ‘Virtual China’ simulacre from original web novels into video media. They form a pastiche genre, with ideological elements added to the audiovisual contents. While the preceding researches focused on the cultural analysis of contents of Chinese Xianxia Romance Fantasy, this paper attempts to approach the culture phenomenon related to ‘Geofeng’ from the ideological perspective. Chinese Xianxia Fantasy Romance, in the traditional three-world cosmic setting, embodies the ideology of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, which contains the Confucian value of individual sacrifices for the cause of the community. TV Xianxia series emphasize and proliferate the ideology. Xianxia Romance Fantasy genre is a major contributor to the Guofeng Brand Nationlism, and the TV Xianxia Romance Fantasy series which have huge fandom, globally spread cultural contents with the ideological elements.
